چکیده
Background: The results of the chemical detection showed that active groups in fruit extracts tannin plant contained glycosides, saponins, flavonoids, tannins, terpene and phenols.
Aim: To evaluate Tannins inhibition activity against Candida albicans.
Materials methods: A number aqueous, alcoholic acetone were prepared, their effect on albicans was tested. Four concentrations used [10, 20, 30, 40 (mg / ml)].
Results: tested yeast varied terms concentration type extract. diameter positively correlated to increase extract concentration. with a very high effectiveness demonstrate higher C. albicans, an average 15.5 20 mm at 10 mg ml, respectively, while it increased reach 24.5 28 30 mg/ml, respectively. came second effect.
Conclusion: shows inhibitory than aqueous extracts. interesting finding this study exhibited first 24 hours, nystatin started after 48 hours. timing vital as lead short course treatment less possibility for resistance induction

The effect of minocycline on Candida albicans.
Minocycline, a new tetracycline derivative, was found to inhibit the growth of Candida albicans. Inhibition was much affected by the composition of the medium and was difficult to demonstrate in fluid cultures. Study of the rate of budding in shallow broth cultures in Petri dishes showed that the addition of 20 mug/ml minocycline prolonged the lag phase by three hours. C. tropicalis was similar...
متن کاملStudy of anti-yeast effects of Securigera Securidaca (L.) extracts microemulsion on Candida strains
Introduction: Candida infections constitute a large group of diseases, so today the need for low-harm antifungal agents is felt more than ever. Securigera Securidaca L. is a medicinal plant with antimicrobial, anti-pest, anti-parasitic and anti-fungal properties. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the anti-candida effects of microemulsion of ethanolic and methanolic extracts of S...
متن کاملEffect of plant oils on Candida albicans.
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE Candida species, notably Candida albicans, is the major fungal pathogen in humans. It is a dimorphic fungus capable of causing superficial mucosal infections, as well as systemic infections, in immunocompromised individuals. The factors responsible for its pathogenesis are still not fully understood and increasing resistance to commonly used antifungal agents necessitates the...
متن کاملEffect of aqueous and ethanolic extracts of Lippia citriodora on candida albicans
INTRODUCTION Because of resistance and side effects to common antifungal drugs activity, the research on herbal substances with antifungal activity is frequent. Lemon verbena (Lippia citriodora) is a member of Verbenaceae family. The aim of this study was to determine the anti-candida activities of the ethanolic and aqueous extracts of the lemon verbena leaves and compare them with nystatin and...
متن کاملThe effect of flucytosine on the germination of Candida albicans.
The effect of flucytosine on the germination of 3 strains of Candida albicans in serum was tested. No inhibition of germination was observed and it was concluded that germination did not require the synthesis of DNA.
